For the end of Spring Training, Grinds has decided to be in two places at once. For the first time, the company is attending games in Florida to visit with various professional Grinds reps in the Grapefruit league. Unlike the Cactus League, teams that play in the Grapefruit League can be spread out as far as 200+ miles apart. In Arizona, the absolute farthest you would ever have to travel to see a game is 37 miles.

Another battle in Florida is the weather. Since Grinds has been Arizona, everyday has been full of sunshine and baseball with exception of one gloomy afternoon with some showers. In Florida? Rain is in the forecast almost seven days a week. Makes you wonder if teams will continue the trend of moving out west in hopes of centralizing the entire month of Spring Training to one location. The whole appeal of the spring is that fans get a chance to see their favorite players in a fun, intimate setting.

In Florida Grinds will be meeting with players from the Twins, Pirates, Orioles, Red Sox, Astros, Phillies, and Cardinals. Recently a number of new players have come across the product and asked to receive samples. One such player was Stephen Strasburg of the Washington Nationals, former 1st overall pick and San Diego State Aztec. Strasburg played under Head Coach and 15x All-Star Tony Gwynn, who recently gave a candid interview about his bout with cancer and chewing tobacco and the effect it has had on his life.
